We are a very friendly Art Group who meet on the 2nd and 4th Fridays in each month* in St Mark’s Church Hall, Bridge Road, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft, Suffolk. (see map below). *At Easter, if Good Friday falls on either of ‘our’ Fridays, we try to organise an alternative club night. Our aim is to encourage members to develop their painting skills and learn new techniques, whilst socialising with other members. We have work nights, demonstrations and slide shows - to further advance our skills as artists. We also have two social evenings; 1) a President’s Evening when our President says a few words and members, together with a guest, enjoy a buffet. In the past David Balder recited some of his excellent poems and Roly Abbott amused us with tales of his youth. 2) a Christmas party, a buffet, where members can bring a guest. We have a quiz and sometimes some entertainment. We have an Annual Summer Exhibition in St Mark’s Church Hall to display our work, most of which is for sale. New Members:To join the Group go to the contact page and state your name, email address and telephone number saying that you would like to become a new member. We have a few free places at the moment.
